This project solves two problems for me:
1. I buy fresh cut flowers every other week and put them in a vase on my kitchen table. Gorgeous. They stay there until the stems rot and the petals drop. I throw them away and feel terrible.
2. I am constantly in front of a screen. Laptop, phone, TV. I don't need to explain why this is a problem, you get it. You're experiencing the same malaise right now, reading this.
So, I made flowers that wont die. And I made them by hand with clay. Clay on your hands is a really good constraint for focus because you can't really touch anything else without making a mess. Sit and finish the thing, then you can wash your hands.
Ultimately, yes I did take pics and airdrop them into photoshop. But by that point, clay was dry, hands were clean, and I was yearning for command+z. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
